Group rallies support for Osun APC candidate
The Alubarika Movement, a socio-political group loyal to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, has renewed its support for the governorship aspiration of the APC candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji.
The group declared its support in a communiqué issued at the end of its ‘strategic stakeholders’ meeting held in Osogbo on Thursday.
The communiqué, signed by the Chairman of the movement, Alhaji Kehinde Olamolu, stated that stakeholders who are members of the APC from all local government areas of the state attended the meeting.
According to the communiqué, APC stakeholders in the group unanimously renewed their commitment to ensuring Oyebamiji’s victory in the August 15 governorship election.
The stakeholders also reaffirmed their loyalty and commitment to the APC, describing the movement as an integral socio-political platform within the party.
They stated that the movement was established to complement, strengthen and advance the progressive ideals, structures and electoral fortunes of the APC across the state and beyond.
The stakeholders further emphasised that membership of the movement remained anchored on loyalty to the APC, adherence to progressive principles, and a shared commitment to promoting good governance, political inclusion and sustainable development.
They resolved to continue working towards strengthening party unity and consolidating the APC’s presence at the grassroots level.
The stakeholders equally reaffirmed their support for the administration and re-election of President Bola Tinubu, pledging to continue mobilising support for the APC at all levels and work towards securing future electoral victories for the party.
In his goodwill address, Basiru commended members and stakeholders of the group for their resilience, dedication and commitment to the ideals of the movement and the APC.
He urged members to remain united, disciplined, focused and proactive in advancing the collective aspirations of the party and sustaining grassroots mobilisation across the state.
