The Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Monday said the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, in Saturday’s governorship poll was a testament to the goodwill he had earned through dedicated service and impactful governance.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), the umbrella body of the state governors, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in a congratulatory message, described the outcome of the election as an endorsement of Oyebanji’s leadership and developmental vision.
AbdulRazaq, through the Director, Media and Strategic Communications at the NGF secretariat, Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi, added that “the polls reflected the confidence and trust the people of Ekiti State have in his administration and its commitment to the state’s progress.”
The Kwara State governor expressed confidence that Oyebanji would consolidate on the achievements of his first term “by deepening reforms and implementing policies aimed at promoting prosperity, inclusiveness and improved welfare for the people of the state.”
He reaffirmed the NGF’s commitment to working with the Ekiti governor in advancing subnational governance and supporting national development goals.
“The Nigeria Governors’ Forum looks forward to your continued contributions to our collective efforts to strengthen subnational governance and advance our nation’s development aspirations,” the Chairman stated.
